US Racing Camp 09

.::: Excel

US Racing Camps have been tailored to achieve lasting performance gains and excel racers like no other program.
How? Three reasons:

1) Limited enrollment (only 14 per session) ensures each racer gets a maximum of one on one with the coaches. At US Racing camps, you're not a number in the line, or a face in the crowd.

2) Periodized training blocks of 3 or 4 days followed by an active rest day gives racers the advantage of progessive loading without "burn-out" over the full two weeks.

3) The very latest techincal & tactical concepts are delivered in an age-specific format - not one size fits all.

Because of the increased demands for personal responsibility while training at higher altitude and above tree line, the camp is designed to accommodate and assist racers who have already achieved a minimum level of competency*. This is not a learn to ski camp. Expectations for performance and a serious attitude are very high.

* Eligibility:    USSA or ACA licensed competitors. - J3 (US), K2 (CAN) and older (as of the 2009-10 season)

I think she is very pleased with her skiing improvements...sounds to me like she is back on track with skiing. I know Curtis really enjoyed the camp and he learned a lot at the same time, this to me is worth all the time and effort spent by the coaches and the parents with the kids during the ski season. Again thank you for a great job!” - T. Gibbs

At 11,235 foot Mt. Hood is the only 12 month ski area in North America. Race training takes place on the Palmer Glacier. With two express quad chairs and 2500' vertical, you have the opportunity to get in a lot of quality training in a short period of time.

Even in the summer months, regular cool nights firm up the snow surface and as the sun climbs throughout the morning hours, solar salt is broadcast over the snow to re-freeze the track and ensure a hard surface until noon.
